Director, Brand Management

We are currently seeking a seasoned Director of Brand Management with a background in traditional entertainment and digitally native properties. The ideal candidate will have proven success managing multiple category licensees, implementing strong internal processes, and creating a marketing and product roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • A 360-degree role in a dynamic team, involving the development of licensing strategies, retail relationship management, overseeing the product roadmap, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Creating a cohesive strategy that extends through the brand's overall world, connecting gaming, digital content, and theatrical plans.
  • Securing select licensing deals in partnership with outside agencies/partners from top tier licensees.
  • Responsible for managing and streamlining internal projects through to partners.
  • Creating sales targets/goals against licensee projections to ensure partners exceed MGs and identifying potential gaps.
  • Royalty tracking, analyzing, and licensing agreement management.
  • Managing master licensees and helping them meet expectations.

Requirements

  • Background in studio franchising is a plus and/or experience working with a diverse portfolio of IP, with a minimum of 5 years in licensing, client management, or brand building.
  • Strong background in brand strategy, licensing negotiations, retail planning, sales, and consulting.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with licensees and high-level executives.
  • Experience with royalty reporting, forecasting, and managing contractual obligations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Professional demeanor and the ability to interact with senior executives in Fortune 500 companies.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret market trends and data.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of initiative and problem-solving ability.
  • Activating retail and marketing initiatives for client brands and licensees, including product and lifestyle photoshoots and the development of marketing materials.
  • You may also be required to carry out any other duties within the scope and purpose of the job.
